GreenIdahoRoofing.com Terms and Conditions

At GreenIdahoRoofing.com, we are committed to delivering high-quality roofing services with integrity, professionalism, and customer satisfaction at the forefront. These Terms and Conditions are established to ensure clear communication, define responsibilities, and protect both parties throughout the roofing project. By engaging with GreenIdahoRoofing.com, you agree to the following terms:

  • Scope of Work

GreenIdahoRoofing.com will perform the services detailed in this agreement. This includes the removal and disposal of existing roofing materials, inspection and replacement of decking as needed, and installation of the selected roofing package (Vista, Legacy, or Windsor). All work will be executed to meet or exceed manufacturer recommendations and industry standards. Any modifications or additional work outside the original scope must be documented and approved in writing by both parties before proceeding.

  • Project Scheduling and Weather Delays

Projects will commence only when a clear weather pattern is forecasted for the estimated duration required to complete the job. This precaution ensures the safety of our crew and the quality of the roof installation. Severe weather conditions, such as rain, snow, or high winds, may result in delays. During challenging weather seasons, roofs will be installed section by section rather than piece by piece to maintain quality and ensure complete protection at every stage. GreenIdahoRoofing.com reserves the right to adjust timelines due to weather, material availability, or other unforeseen circumstances. Customers will be promptly informed of any scheduling changes.

  • Payment Terms

A 25% deposit is required upon signing the contract to secure materials and schedule the project. A second installment of 50% is due before work begins; if this payment is not received, the project will be rescheduled, potentially causing significant delays. The remaining 25% balance is due upon project completion. Payments made by credit card will incur a processing fee. If a customer cancels the project before it begins, a refund of the 25% deposit may be requested; however, $500 of the deposit is non-refundable to cover administrative and operational costs. Additionally, a $500 no-notice rescheduling fee will apply if the customer fails to notify GreenIdahoRoofing.com of the need to reschedule, covering crew downtime and supplier delivery adjustments. GreenIdahoRoofing.com reserves the right to file a lien on the property in cases of non-payment after project completion.

  • Warranty Information

GreenIdahoRoofing.com provides a 10-year Workmanship Warranty on all roofing installations. This is in addition to the Malarkey® Manufacturer Warranty:

  • Vista Shingles: Limited Lifetime Warranty & 15-year Right Start™ Period.

  • Legacy and Windsor Shingles: Limited Lifetime Warranty & 20-year Right Star™ Periods.

The Right Start™ Period offers 100% non-prorated coverage for manufacturing defects, including material replacement, labor costs, tear-off, and disposal. After the Right Start™ Period, coverage becomes prorated, and the value of materials depreciates annually. Manufacturer warranties do not cover damages caused by natural disasters, unauthorized modifications, or customer negligence. Both the Manufacturer Warranty and the 10-year Workmanship Warranty are transferable once if the property is sold.

  • Customer Responsibilities

Customers must ensure that the work area is accessible and properly prepared before the start of the project. Vehicles must be removed from the work zone, and dump trailers may be placed on-site the evening before the project begins. Fragile items on walls and ceilings should be removed to prevent damage from vibrations caused by roofing work. Outdoor furniture, landscaping, and other obstructions should be moved away from the work area to avoid damage. GreenIdahoRoofing.com is not liable for damage to items left in the work zone. Pets should be secured during the project to ensure their safety and minimize stress caused by noise or activity. Additionally, we recommend that customers notify their neighbors about the project start date. GreenIdahoRoofing.com will also send a letter to neighbors informing them of our presence to minimize potential disruptions.

  • Materials and Ownership

All materials required for the project will be provided by GreenIdahoRoofing.com, including additional materials to ensure efficiency. Any unused materials remain the property of GreenIdahoRoofing.com and will be removed upon project completion unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

  • Canopy Tent Placement

As part of the roofing installation process, GreenIdahoRoofing.com will set up a 10x20 canopy tent at the job site. This tent serves two purposes: to provide a comfortable space for the crew to warm up, cool down, eat lunch, and access drinks and snacks, and to function as a temporary office for Curtis or the production manager to coordinate crew needs, manage the project efficiently, and answer questions from the homeowner or neighbors. The canopy tent, which will be partially wrapped with branding, will be placed in the customer’s driveway, yard, or on the road in front of the home, as agreed upon with the customer. While we prefer to leave the canopy up for the full duration of the project to maximize efficiency, we can take it down at the end of each day if preferred by the customer. GreenIdahoRoofing.com will ensure the tent placement minimizes disruption and will remove it promptly upon project completion.

  • Hazardous Materials and Hidden Conditions

If hazardous materials, such as asbestos, are discovered during the project, customers are responsible for arranging abatement and removal services. GreenIdahoRoofing.com does not handle hazardous material removal. Pre-existing structural damage or other hidden conditions uncovered during the roofing process will be documented, and an updated estimate will be provided for customer approval. GreenIdahoRoofing.com is not liable for damages related to pre-existing conditions.

  • Ventilation and Intake Systems

Proper ventilation is critical to roof performance and longevity. GreenIdahoRoofing.com installs high-quality metal vents to ensure durability, as plastic vents do not provide the same long-term reliability. For Windsor-tier roofs, advanced balanced ridge and intake ventilation systems are installed to address common issues like blocked soffit vents and ensure optimal airflow.

  • Ice/Water Shield and Flat Roof Areas

Ice/Water Shield is installed in all valleys and extends at least 24" into heated spaces, requiring two rolls to ensure complete coverage. For flat roof areas with a pitch below 2:12, GreenIdahoRoofing.com installs the Malarkey Omni Seal three-layer system. To further protect the underlayment, a 24" rolled metal sheet is used to transition and secure the shingle-to-Omni Seal connection.

  • Liability Limitations

GreenIdahoRoofing.com is not liable for damages caused by natural disasters, acts of God, or external factors beyond the scope of the project. Liability does not extend to issues resulting from customer negligence, such as failure to prepare the property or maintain the roof after installation.

  • Clean-Up and Waste Disposal

GreenIdahoRoofing.com is committed to maintaining a clean and safe job site. We will handle the cleanup and disposal of all roofing materials; however, minor debris may remain in landscaping or yard areas. Customers are encouraged to inspect the property following project completion.

  • Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from this agreement will first be addressed through direct communication between the customer and GreenIdahoRoofing.com. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be resolved through mediation or arbitration in accordance with Idaho law.

  • Acceptance of Terms

By signing the contract, the customer acknowledges understanding and agreement to these Terms and Conditions. Any deviations or additions to these terms must be documented and agreed upon in writing.
